Under my seat mount bracket had some rust on an otherwise very solid e9. Noticed the beads are off on the three towards the left. What did y’all do? Or did you send it?
I messaged the groove to better align with the adjacent panel. I started with the floor pan off on the bead roller, and then did some final massaging once the panel was welded in the car.
Here is the original misalignment I saw:
You may need to relocate the trailing arm nuts:
Else, your frame rail may not meet up with the foot well:
Yep. it isn't you. The beads are off. Makes you wonder what they used for the reference. Such a shame. Makes the job so much more difficult. I got mine close. Nice job @autokunst
I did not have fit issues but I left a lip on mine, like an overbite on the inside and then welded rather than welded edge to edge. I then ground down the seam. I just fear someone will be deposited on the road. Perhaps I don't trust my welding....
