I’ve only been a forum member for two and a half months and I brought home my first ever CS yesterday! I took the leap with this beautiful 73 Chamonix / Red survivor. We had a wonderful drive home along the Pacific Ocean and through the Santa Cruz mountains. It’s an unaltered unrestored car that has had a repaint. It’s clearly been garaged and loved all of it’s life and is in amazing condition. A big shout out to @wkohler for the lead and @OCCoupe for showing the car, doing a very thorough PPI and fluid refresh. He searched every secret rust cavity and only found a little surface rust on one spot on a frame rail and up in the front fender cavities. Also thanks to @Markos for other leads and advise along the way and sfdon for a crash course in all things E9 but especially engines. I feel very lucky that with everyone’s help I found this car in Monterey CA only 90 miles from me. That made it possible to see and acquire it during this difficult time.
