So I don't know that I'm not hearing less sound or I don't know that I'm not hearing more sound?

The truth lies some where in the middle....
Csl’s never had these tar mats and on a personal note, I wouldn’t install them since they are what ate up the metal to begin with, as water gets trapped underneath. Besides, the clean look of the strut towers (if done properly) is appealing to me.
But those doing a concours restoration would like the original look. We don’t drive these cars as we did in the 70’s, so preservation is not such an issue anymore.....my 2 cents worth.
