What a great car! We (undeserving) Americans didn't get them either. I would have killed for one, instead had to settle for a 1602. Someone in NJ has one which was at a show few years ago, haven't seen it since.

Yes it’s a shame they were not produced and sold in bigger numbers once BMW took over. The design is lovely, a real favourite of mine.

Might have to add that to the bucket list.
Don't know anything about them but suspect they'd handle pretty well?
Were they delivered to Aus when new?

Very cool car. I vaguely think I saw one here once at a gas station in the 70's. It was fairly ragged then and might be only a small pile of dust now. But given the vagaries of life, I can hope it'll suddenly appear, available, running, cheap... one can dream.
