After searching the site I couldn't find a definitive list of the CS / CSi colours.
That's not to say that it isn't here somewhere. So I looked on the Realoem parts list for the paint labels and there it was, as shown below, with the part #s for the corresponding labels and presumably the year the colour was introduced. Out of 28 colours there should be one that suits a period colour restoration. Hope this helps someone.
Gary.

Unfortunately, this list does not contain all info concerning the availability of the colors for E9. In 09/1973 several E9 modifications took place and this was also accompanied by some color changes (eg Anthrazit, Granatred, Sienabrown or Arktisblue were only available after 09/1973, and Baikalblue or Ceylongold were only available until 09/1973.)
There are also colors completely missing like Granadared (023), Tundragreen (sixty-eight) or Floridagreen (066).

Here is a link to some good info about E9 colors:
http://www.bmw-coupeclub.de/coupe.htm, click 'Prospekte/Infos' on the left side, then click on 'Prospekte Farben und Preise'. Thereafter, you may further select btw series or year.
And yet another nice link: http://www.bmw-cscoupe.com/farben/farben.html
