I need the smaller diameter dipstick tube end dipstick tube, the dipstick, and the bracket to hold it to the engine, for a 1972 E9 engine.
Go ahead and PM if you like.

I'm actually chasing one as well.
Looks like this guy has them.

Hopefully somebody on here can confirm the part number just to make sure.
I sent him my Vin but as it was for a RHD CSL he didn't seem to recognise it.

Parts ending in 646 and 568 ( in red) are the ones. Yours should be correct one. It's a Straight tube.
Im guessing the dipstick is probably straight as well, if you have it.
The wrong tube has a curve. So I need the earlier one that's straight, from earlier years.
Thanks

Sending PM with price/options......I have two available; and compare with the one from my 74...all the same, but different...I think I'll post here to get a reading from the sage ones...
This is what I think that I know...
Red one I know came from a 70 2800cs OAL...22 1/8", bottom spear to where rubber stopper "stops"...17 3/16"
Yellow one came with a car, so probably a 72 3.0cs...OAL...22 1/8", .............. " ......................................16 15/16"
No paint one is from my car, 74 3.0cs....OAL....22", ................ " ......................................16 15/16"
All have different rubber stoppers. If I saw them on separate days, I'd say they are all the same...so, subtle diffs. All three are "straight", not the curved variety...
If I wasn't trying to help this gentleman out, I would not be reading this thread...that's what this is about, tho...

I pm'd bluecs...
The red one (above picture) from a 70 2800cs was slightly smaller rubber than the yellow from a 72, and when inserted into the 72 tube, was a tiny bit more loose than the one in the 72...
4mm versus 6mm, approximately at the rubber stopper...

I want to thank everyone for their help. At this time, I no longer need a dipstick.

Thank you all.
