Only BHCC can find such exemplary coupes. Check out the sheet metal rockers!

Where do I order them on W&N :p
Sad thing is you know it will only get worse when you take them off.

Well, it's an honest car. I wish my intake runners looked like that.

this is what falls under the category of 'rotten tomato' ... joining SFDon's technical color name for a red coupe and the actual nature of the car.

Sort of doubt that that car lived its early years in SoCal. Or many of their offerings. My late father, from WI originally, lived in LA area after the war, always said the Pacific was the reason for so many mis-placed Midwesterners in the area...couldn't go any farther west, and bought new cars when they got there. (Its the rusty car continental drift theory)
The silver rockers actually look good from the side; like an old Facel Vega. Visually it reduces the body mass in the door area. :p…Physically, not much body mass left, however.

I have a sneaking suspicion the engine was not stored in the same place as the car; it's way too clean, with fresh hoses and some new relays. Beyond that I think the driver's side headrest looks decent...

OR - by buying it for $15K then spending $95K at an experienced/high quality restoration facility over 3 years, you could easily have a $100K car.

A shame as a sunroof CSi is a rare bird. Maybe someone wants to save this car because of the aforementioned combination, but you'd be insane to do so. A $5-7.5K parts car IMO - you'd have to order every sheet metal piece from W&N catalog to get it right - and have an open checkbook, wallet and infinite patience. BHCC is one of 'red flag' members of the vintage car community - just have to keep communicating bout them to as many as we can until they all disappear.

Gary and Markos I like your "New Math". When did they stop teaching that?

I thought my list added up close to $10K :)

Joking aside - I added the dollar figures to my decon thread *because everyone said that "this car is only worth X". My math is based on parting out a CSI. All in, if you priced out the parts that I'm keeping I will have about $13K worth of parts from the car (will have sold $8K+ when I'm done). I'm keeping expensive stuff like a perfect dash & cluster, a 3.25 LSD, rear disks, tail lights, and whatever else is in the four bins in my garage. My poor math skills came in the form of completely underestimating how long it would take me to part the car.

I presume that Gary's math is based on the high bar that BaT set with the $135K CSI.

Guys, I was trying without much success to say that I liked the numbers you came up with. The attempted poke at the "new math" didn't really work.

No worries. Not that I want any cars to get parted but it is worth repeating that the crummy cars are generally worth a lot more than people think.

For the right buyer, this CSI still isn’t a bad deal. Whether it is the enthusiast willing to drop $100K to save a car, or someone really skilled at metal work.
