Find and drill all spot welds along the top and down the back, cut through front corner with saw, also a couple of connections behind the head lights, you will need lots of patience, coffee or beer

Good luck

Chris - Here is link that describes the rear wing removal. It is much harder to remove than the front IMHO. It might help to use a chemical paint stripper along where the spot welds are so they are easier to see.

http://www.larsenarchitect.com/BMW/Sections/QuarterPanel/BMW QP Frameset.html

The area you need to especially be careful with on all four panels is where they join the roof pillars. A torch (to melt the lead) should reveal the lap joint. Do not cut too deep as it will cut into the structural post. I used a drill and very small dremel tool cutting wheel. There are also spot welds along portions of the window openings as well.

On the front you need to remove the two small angle pieces spot welded between the inner and outer fender along the top. With the door off, there are more spot welds along the rear vertical edge (onto the "A" pillar).

Just carefully work your way around the edges and you will figure it out.
good luck,
