A sad day has arrived in my household. It's time to sell the coupe. With 2 small children and living in a slightly salubrious part of east London I have to let her go. Having worked my way up through 2002's I managed to acquire the holy grail 8 years ago but I just don't have the time, money and space to keep her. Does anyone have a handkerchief? Anyway, I just want to put out some feelers to see if there's any interest or if anyone knows of anyone who's after one. Don't be fooled by the pictures, she's a daily driver that'll need a fair amount of work to get her up to a 25K car. Full respray, new drivers door etc the list could go on for a while but I'll leave it at that until anyone needs more info. From seeing the condition of the one that went at auction for 12K (!!) recently I'd be happy with 10K (or rather unhappy at saying goodbye). Let me know what you think, I'll miss this forum.

BTW: She is currently running with a 1986 M535i motor with 5 speed dog leg but I have the original engine and box with a rebuilt head but the original block would need a total rebuild.

Sorry to here about the bad news..... you need to sell the CSL.

I need some info about the car please Dickie, before viewing it,
How many owners on log book?,
mileage?,
Any service history with car?, any old MOTs etc
Fjord blue, is this the original colour of the car?,
Production no?,
Apart from the engine/box, is the cat fitted with any other non-originial parts?.
What needs repairing on the car, how bad is the rust?,
How long is the MOT?,
car has a sunroof?,
toolkit complete, or not?,

Any other damage on the car, ie dents,
Interior comes with bucket seats, not csi ones?,

Hi Sandhu,
Here are some answers.
7 owners before me.
Mileage on the car, I'll check tonight.
A load of old MOT's yes and a bit of service history before me.
Yes Fjord blue is the original colour.
Number 188.
Engine, box and exhaust are only non original bits (and sunroof).
Mot until June 12th.
Car has an awful aftermarket sunroof that needs to be taken out.
Complete toolkit.
Scheel bucket seats, usual wear and tear.
A few marks on her, not dents, I'll take some closer pics.
Wiper motor went last week and one of the gear selector struts feels as if its gone, box is good but selector has too much play, all 5 gears work.
Rust yes, got through MOT this year though so thats good, she was waxoyled before I owned her.
Needs a new drivers door.
I'll take some more pics.
