I want to wire an oil pressure switch to shut off my fuel pump and was hoping to just get an adapter to split the stock OP sender in the head. I see Parker has one for $60, but I'd like to get this done. Is tapping into the oil housing with a 1/8 NPT fitting commonly done? I get a blank from the local speed shops when I enquire about metric to NPT adapters.

Thanks for the information. When I go to the local speedshops I get a blank stare when it comes to adapters going from 12mm to NPT. I'll give this one more try locally, then either send away to PArker performance for their adapter of take off the oil filter mount and drill a hole in it. I suppose I could just run the fuel pump off the battery for now.

I don't know when it was done but my Bavaria came with an 1/8npt tapped oil filter mount. It was plugged until I added an oil pressure gauge.

Sender

I bought a dual sender for my oil press. gauge set up from North Hollywood Speedometer.
#360 024 Sender Press. 150 psi WC 12 X 1.5 I can't say enough about the customer service of these guys, even answered an e-mail on a Sunday. Price was $62. I believe Korman sells an adapter but I did not find that this added expense was necessary.
