First post! (sorry it's a dopey one). Just looking for a bit of advice. Been looking in all the usual places and not having much luck. Any suggestions for the best place to look for a white E9 (3,0 cs ideally) within a reasonable distance to the UK? Only needs to be white and in good fettle, not fussed about auto/manual 'box or LHD/RHD.
Any help appreciated!
Cheers
Ben

not very close to the UK, but a pretty nice one in seattle:

Hi alanmcg. Thanks for your reply. I did see that ad (no longer live). Seattle is a serious distance away. I've looked into shipping costs for a couple of cars in the US, it's too expensive and almost certainly a huge pain.

I was really appealing for information along the lines of which classifieds to peruse/people to tap up for a car within in the European union or so.

Cheers
Ben

...in Los Angeles area. Easy to ship over the pond. Great value especially compared to the other white one listed there. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/bmw/3.0cs/1068378.html.
Also have access to a clean black on black 1974 3.0CS automatic. VERY rare color combo and quite rust-free. Happy CS shopping.

Thanks for the reply. Easy to ship? How so? What's the best way to do it? West coast also so that complicates things I'd imagine.

Looks a nice car apart from the wheels and the big bumpers. Bit expensive too. I think the other white cars listed are not a good comparison (price-wise) because they all seem to be priced 'not to sell'.

I ship via Schumacher Cargo. They ship enclosed and have been reliable. I have shipped some very expensive cars to Europe and Asia via Schumacher. They are within 45 miles of this Coupe http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...s/1068378.html. I am happy to assist in any way I can.

Hi OCCoupe. Thanks for your reply. Can you give me a ball park price for shipping that 3,0CS to the UK?
Thanks
Ben

overseas shipping

If your timing is flexible, coast to Coast us shipping is about $1800 to $2000. US-UK run $800 or a tad more, including customs handling (exclamation customs taxes). Marine insurance is by stated value ... $250 for $35k is my experience.
