I was lucky enough to find the plastic pieces that attach to the bottom of the front seats.
Sadly, the chrome was kaput and after months of searching, the best price I could find for re-chroming was $50.00 per part...$200.00 for the set.

I bought some silver mylar tape, and I think it will do the job nicely. not perfect but $10.00

You might be see where the tape wrinkles (the lower part of the bend on the left) but I am pretty sure it will not be visible when installed.

That looks very nice to me Stan. Do you have a link to this tape?

Question - how to attach

It appears that the plastic trip is held on with two screws.

Doubtless the screws I need are not still on the seat-bottom. Can anyone tell me what size I need so I can get some before I take the seats out>

The plastic strip is held on by the same 2 bolts that hold the seat rail to the bottom of the seat.Small bolt,10mm head, about 1" long.

Well that jobs was much simpler than I expected

The bolts that hold the rails to the seats also hold the seat trim to the seat bottom.
Four bolts and the seats were out. Four more and the rails were off.
While installing, I added neoprene bushings to tilt the seat back ala HBChris.

Overal quite pleased.
