I may have been a little hasty in my reply. Whereas I do have 2 transmissions for an e9, I see that are seeking a ZF 3HP22.

I have a ZF 3HP20 that I removed from my 1972 3.0 CS in order to swap to a five speed. This was working well before removal. I have everything with this transmission, including the torque convertor, plumbing to the radiator, the radiator itself, the selector switch, etc. These parts (other than the radiator itself) are packaged and ready to ship. (I had a buyer back out of a prior transaction).

The other transmission is a Borg Warner 65. This transmission was acquired along with a large stockpile of parts. I do not know anything about its history.

I expect there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, but alas, the Borg Warner 65 is gone.

location, price,
Just joking I think $details should be offline between gentlefolk.
I am curious tho what people pay for used automatics and if shipping heavy stuff is worth it?

I had to take the tranny and a bunch of other stuff in order to get Maxfish's stash of parts. On Friday, I hauled it to the metal recycling station.

I will try to explain.

ZF said that the Fliehkraftregler / flow controller may be stucked when transmisssion is cold
So no shift signal will be given to the Schaltgerät / switch

We should remove propeller shaft, output shaft and transmission extension

Than we should be able to check the Fliehkraftgewicht / weight

It should move easily...if not we should pull it of and clean everything.

When the transmission was opened we found also an broken sealing wich parts were everywere in the Schaltgerät / switch

After cleaning everything the transmission is working again.

I enclose some fotos.

Ullrich
