Got my first shipments today and yesterday. W&N was great tracking production and keeping me informed. Smart time to buy as they are in stock and there is a shipping discount available.

You could also try GLaden Motorsport in Germany , about 100 euro less , they will deduct vat as well and shipping is a bit better , nmna , still waiting for delivery of mine , same reason as above , but should be here soon now it's available , will report. I'm getting a motronic version for an m90 735i.

great information Don ... thanks for sharing this with the gruppe.

schrick really knows how to make a cam for a BMW. the 316 degree cam i had on my 2002 was wild. when that engine got high in the revs it flew. the 282 / 284 for the coupe is a lot milder but doesn't destroy the torque like the big cams.

If I am understanding the information correctly, at Gladen only one of those four cams are suitable for use with carbs (the 282 degree "with distributor"). All of the others note that they are for Motronic, which would not drive our distributors? ("our" meaning us carburetor people). I am even more lost on the W&N site, but assume the "SCHRICK camshaft 284 deg 320/6 and 323i" would work with the distributor ignition (process of elimination since the others read "MOTRONIC"). And with that logic, W&N may also have a 272 and a 288 degree cam that would work?

The motronic Schrick is not listed at W&N. You have to ask for it.
Edit: now listed again...

The jetronic cams are from Ebay.de I bought 3 at a time to get a discount on price and shipping.

All motronic cams become distributor cams with the special nut.

Yes, only one of them is for a carburetor M30, it has the lobe to drive the mechanical fuel pump, which the other ones (motronic) don't have.
There are also a difference between a early Jetronic cam and a late Motronic cam, Jetronic has a fork for the distributor and the Motronic has a pin, but I've read that you can convert a Motronic cam to be used as a Jetronic? Sfdon?
EDIT: aswered above one second before I pressed post reply:p

The 320/6 and 323i cam is for M20, no go.

i was thinking that the stock s14 was 264 / 264. for a slight increase 272 / 264 ... then up to 284 / 272 ... then you get up the 300's ... up to either 330 or 340 (don't remember). if you want to make it hot, get the 2002 carbon fiber airbox ... huge improvement. check out the m2 that Mario + VSR built (inka i believe)
