Hi guys
I am looking for a bit of help please.
I am looking to buy a new clutch master cylinder and a new clutch slave cylinder
The prices on line seem to be very high at the specialist suppliers
So I am wondering if you know the original part numbers for them , I might be able to buy them over the counter if I had the part numbers.
She’s a September 1973. 3.0 CSi.
Thanks.

Slave for that style is 21521102060 I believe. Not surprised it's still expensive, also no rebuild kits available at the time of my restoration.
I was surprised to see your 1973 still has the old style slave....

Master was (2020) rebuildable with Ebay kits, maybe even rock auto.
Possible alternates for Master
21521156004
21521102510 from BMW 2002

I was shocked at the price of these too!

When I was looking, I found a master cylinder on Ebay from a company called KMS online - the part number on the invoice is 0 986 486 005 - it was £48, but that was about 4 years ago - I think the only difference was one of the ports was 90 degrees rotated on the body from the position on the original cylinder.

The slave cylinder also came from Ebay - mister-auto-uk and was an ATE part 03.2522.3001.3 according to the invoice - that was £96.

All seems to be working fine with these parts! - mine has the same style parts as its a late 73, so the last of the ones before they changed to the cheaper parts!

Hi Barry,
I have a spare new clutch slave cylinder, I bought it a few years back to replace mine but ended up going 5 speed, so no longer required. Also have a new retaining circlip.

Hi there
I am going to call to my local parts suppliers tomorrow to see if they have anything at a reasonable price.
Yours do sound interesting also though .
How much are you looking for them ?
Apologies if I don’t jump straight away,
I need to be aware of import duties and shipping also though.
I sent my brake boosters over to the UK in February and got them back today fully reconditioned.
I am delighted with them to be fair but because of brexit, I had to pay €250 today to the government to import my own parts back to me.
So I’m a bit weary today about import taxes.
Thanks again for the offer though !!

Happy with £100 + shipping for slave and circlip.
I fully understand import duties may make it uneconomic, no rush if you want to try other avenues first.

Hi guys
Thanks again for the help and advice.
I managed to purchase both cylinders today.( at a reasonable price )
My local parts supplier could see them on his system but all of his suppliers were out of stock, but he did allow me to take a photo of what his computer screen showed him, so I was able to search online then myself tonight, and with his info I tracked them down.
