I have them on my rhd 2800cs, nothing attached to them until I used one to support a heater tap. maybe a LHD thing?

I have them as well, couldn’t be for a CSL hood prop could they?
I would think not: the bolts are installed from the side of the wiper motor and the fixed nuts are on the engine side; this makes me think that whatever should be attached with these bolts, should reside in the space next to the wiper motor.
And isn't the csl hood prop stored on the engine side of that panel?

One of these 2 bolts is used to attach a bracket that holds the fuel filter in carb models if I am not mistaken. This bracket is almost always missing. Part 13321256490

My car is 2/71 build, maybe too early for a CSL specific function?

Is it the same panel as used on a 2000cs ?

Hi there .
They are on my September 1973 built RHD csi also.
There are 2 screws/ bolts screwed into the captive nuts , but that’s it , nothing else is there .
I never noticed them before .

Except it shows one bolt and one nut and washer where the nut would not be needed as it is already mounted. I like this solution though I have never seen one in person.

I believe it is for early cars that had the window washer sprayer that came threw the hood grills. Before they got installed on the hood

Never seen that part before!
Now that I know it exists, I want to know more about it.
Google gives me some hits on that partnumber, and an ebay add seems to link it to the E10 model as well. Could it be the same part, as in I can scavenge one from an e10?

Anyone who can spot it in a pic in the tech manuals?
