just wanted to share a few pics i took of 'my other' bimmer. It was in the shop for a long while getting some front end repair work done following a hit and run. Its an 87, grey market euro, diamontschwatz metallic. 112,000 miles. Runs like a champ! - last of the classics.

Ah!

So YOUR E9Coupeguy!

There are a fair number of us here on the coupe board who also have the E28 affliction. Your's is a rather nice example. I SO want European bumpers on mine.

Keep the mudflaps, BTW.:-D

Why its TodB of course.:-D

I don't post much. They are a little "off" there what with the constant spell and grammar checks, constant reminders to search and being told you're worthless and weak.

yeah, i know what you mean. i had a 'run in' with the dude from TCD when he made some off remark about a post i made offering a little friendly advice. He was offended that a 'newb' had the gall to speak to him seeing as how i'd only owned my e28 for a year and he had 1,000,000 posts and owned his own shop. I was thinking to myself...'what, are we in 3rd grade??'. The e9 crowd is a much friendlier group to be around...

My experince was the same with mye28.com board .Actually there are couple of problematic persons here too, like at any bmw board, but there are less that the average.

Todd/TCD is very passionate about what he does and his turbo products which he has worked hard to engineer and produce. Having met him a couple of times, I can tell you he's actually a great guy in person.

That said, the majority of the active mye28 crowd can come across as conceited know-it-alls at times and full of themselves. Lots of drama at times but they are no less passionate about their cars then we are here.

I just find it interesting that a number of coupe owners also have E28s.

Agreed... And i'm sure Todd is a cool guy. but for whatever reason it just seems as though the occasions of rudeness or snide remarks seem to happen more often over there. Maybe its simply a function of higher membership / more frequent activity?? I will say though that for every off putting post, there are fifty quality, considerate and helpful ones. Just today i was invited to a cookout by a guy in central VA. Never spoken to him before, never posted in one of his threads... just a random act of kindness. Thats whats great about these forums... endless opportunity to extend your circle of friends. Friends who share the passion for bimmers...

Ever sell those seats?

Yep, seats are sold.

Now enjoying black leather Flowfits in the coupe thanks to RonP. Quite comfy and look great. Just oiled 'em up a few minutes ago in fact.
