I entered the coupe in the Dayton Concours d'Elegance show that was held today. The feature was Morgan & Mini. I submitted photo's back in May to see if I would be selected. They only select 200 cars to be judged. I was selected and thought this will be fun..........

My class was H - Contemporary Sports 1961 - 1979.

I get there a little early to dust off the coupe and this is what shows up in the class !!!

1961 MG A
1964 Maserati 3500 GTi Spyder
1967 Austin Healey 3000 BJ 8
1966 Corvette Stingray
1963 Porsche 356 S-90
1972 Ferrari GTC 4
1979 Corvette 1972 Jaguar E type 2 + 2

Oh SHI.... More than half of these cars were professionally restored !! and looked GREAT !!!! Why an I here ??

It was too late to tuck my tail and run, so I cleaned her up and let it go.

Here are the cars and what happened:

Perhaps some of the others should have turned tail when they saw your stunning coupe.

Way to go Steve!! From what most of us simply seen in
pics, those other cars had to have been outclassed. If they
had seen your car in person in NC, the result probably
wouldn't have been a surprise. Thanks from all of us for
carrying the e9 torch. (Especially, since you could have been
pre-occupied with your fantastic e24)

How about some more pictues and details on your car---history, what has been done, etc., for those of us that don't know. I went to the Glenmore Concours last Sunday in Canton, now I wish I would have gone to Dayton instead! :) Runner
