Clutch on my 2800cs is engaging when pedal is about 3/4 of the full travel back up from floor. So way too high. Clutch isn’t slipping at all so probably not a worn out clutch. Can the pedal travel be adjusted?

The height of pedal from floor can be adjusted on the push rod but that is to keep it in line with the brake pedal. 3/4 doesn’t sound that far off from the correct position to me. You don’t want to push all the way to the floor to disengage.

Hmm. Ok. Thanks. But if the clutch doesn’t engage until 3/4 of the way (not 3/4 of an inch) back up from the floor, it would be pretty tricky if your caught in traffic going up a hill. But if this is the norm then I guess it’s functioning as designed.

Engaging when "a bit more than half way up" sounds about right to me also, for this car. It is the polar opposite of my M3, which starts to engage before the pedal has cleared the carpet fuzz. But that's another story...

Love the diagram, Don!
