Headlights E9

Hello
I have a question about the headlights of an E9.
I see a lot of cars with the headlights falling slightly behind the grill, but also lights that are flush with the grill and also stick out.
What is the correct placement and is it adjustable?

AFAIK, there is no correct placement. With normal light adjustment and normal grille placement the position will vary. If you want them to be proud just add a thick spacer washer Behind the frame support.

i addressed that to set my halogens and set the face darn near flush so as not to draw attention and keep the
fixture lines flush

Thanks for the information.
Yes the flush face is my preferred look too.
The chroom rings will just being seen.
I wonder how it was delivered from the factory?
