Al Taylor will tell you that its the best car BMW ever made.
For those who may wonder why we should care about Al Taylor's opinion, Al buys a lot of ratty old cars and beats the heck out of them. He owns a farm in NC where he invites his friends to race these cars around his property until they die. He also races old BMWs and scrounges parts from junkyards for mechanics and folks like us. So he has worked on and taken parts from scores and scores of cars.

I bought my 5 speed from him; he was dating a girl who lived fairly close to my house, so he drove up in this junky looking Volvo 740 wagon stuffed to the gills with parts and dropped the tranny on my workbench!

E30s seems a perfect sized car for all around driving.

Would love a 90s version with an s52/s50 transplant, uncracked dash, and black interior.

Hard to lose a whole lot of money on one unless it's a rust bucket
