Mechanic gave the car a once over, changed all the fluids and filters , tyres back to normal pressure ,
Stereo system sounding like a night club ...


Petrol tank has a pin hole leak at the bottom of it ...

What is the best way to fix this ??

MUCH BETTER THAN JB WELD IS POR 15 HARDENS TO STEEL STRENGTH AND NOT AFFECTED BY PETROL
SET IT ON AND COVER WITH TAPE AS ITS VERY FLUID

Agree with Alan, hand sand around the leaky area and two or three coats should fix it.

Inside of the tank is like new, it was refurbed by previous owners few years ago

Uh, hang on. The inside of the tank may LOOK like new, but the previous owners must have had a reason for refurbishing the tank a few years ago; they weren't just trying to impress concours judges who might remove the sender and look inside! As dang said, there was probably rust which is now re-emerging to cause your pinhole.

So sure, use some epoxy product to fix the leak as a short-term fix before next month's show. But you'll probably get more pinholes over time, so as adawil2002 suggests in post #3, a longer term fix will be replacing the tank with a less-rusted one.

Try this: I have a spare tank that has been treated with black POR-15 inside and out. I have no need for it. It's in Hawaii...
