Hi everyone, I have for sale a 72' auto white with sunroof and manual window. The car was dealer maintain all it's life until I purchase it a year ago. I have stacks and stacks of invoices to proof. The car received a $20,000 body restoration(with proof) and $3,300 upholstery restoration(with proof) in one of best bodyshop in town 24 years ago(compare to today's labor rate it's like 40,000 just the bodywork). Since then the car has been in storage most it's time because one can tell by the driver seat is still like brand new. The interior is like new, the wood excellent and dash with no crack. I have a complete 5 speed and L-jet conversion ready from a 81' 633csi. I have over twenty pictures and I'll try to download as much as possible. I'm welcome to questions and comment. My asking is $25,000.00. Thanks.

I like the idea of manual windows and a sunroof. Is that white paint underhood original?

YellowBullet, can you tell us a bit about the two tone on the drivers side?

Yellowbullet, a couple of questions re. this car. I am assuming it is a U.S. spec. coupe, however, it has a cloth interior and manual crank windows. I always thought that the U.S. spec. cars were higher content vehicles and had leather seats and power windows all the way around. Can the owner advise if this is a U.S. export vehicle or was it a euro import? Does anyone know if the U.S. destination cars had cloth interiors and crank windows? Is the sunroof a power sunroof or crank?

The car is Canadian delivery from vancouver, b.c. since day one and the roof is manual (crank).

If you get a chance, can you post more shots of the engine and bay, and if you really want to go all The way, some hoist and lower rocker shots. A clean bottom sells these cars.

Hi there, I've over a thousand view with no comment, am I asking too much? What is the market value or what's the car worth in this condition to the E9 enthusiast because I might have a local buyer. Thanks.

Posting a coupe for sale and not having any comments is actually a good thing on this forum! :-D You have a very nice car. If there were many negatives you probably would have heard them by now. I can't answer your price question...

There's a relatively low mileage 1974 Chamonix coupe for sale in San Francisco at Cars Dawydiak for around $18,900. It has a power sunroof and windows, leather seats and looks to be in pretty nice shape. I believe it was subject of some prior posts in this forum. In any event, besides the large bumpers on the S.F. car, it looks pretty desirable. I would think that your car, with manual sunroof, windows and cloth seats might be worth around the same. Sounds like your car has had some bucks put into it with paint etc., so perhaps in the $18-$22k value range? Not sure what the others think.

If I were in the market for a coupe, I would be a little put off by all of the overspray in the engine bay. It indicates a respray to me but not a "restoration," even though there are receipts for $20K and it was 24 years ago, a lot can happen in that time. See the strut tops, painted clips and hood latches, etc. Exterior looks very nice though. This is the kind of car that needs a visual inspection perhaps by a prospective buyer?
