Hey all,
4 x 5 hole Alpina rims for sale. Rims are in excellent condition as far as corrosion is concerned. 2 rims dated 5/73 and the other 2 dated 7/73 along with original Alpina plastic wheel caps. I also have a set of metal NOS BMW metal wheel caps. Rims will have to be stripped and repainted/ powder coated.
If interested send a pm.

thanks
Keshav

I think one of your pictures showed that these are 15 inch rims but I'm not sure. Are these 15 inch?

These are the standard CSL (Alpina) 7x14” rims. The 15” rims I believe you are referring to are the Alpina 3 piece rims.

I was under the impression that there are 15 and 16 inch Alpinas - not knock-offs. It sounds like they weren't stock wheels on e9's but they were/are available. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I was wrong. :)

Infact, 7&8x16” Alpina wheels from the E24 (amongst other models) are very popular with E9ers. Straight fit too!

If you are referring to date code correct Alpinas for a CSL, they only came in 14x7". There are later options but the originals are limited to 14x7

Just linking in the gathered knowledge on these very special wheels; this link has all info.
Thread 'Wheel + Tire Sizes / Options' https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/wheel-tire-sizes-options.35362/

@Keshav ; is there / which KBA number and /or bmw logo on them?

This would give us the opportunity to identify them as version 1 - 2-3, giving prospective buyers the know what exact color they were when new.

I guess V1 as I think to see no bmw logo nor kba number?

Infact, one could simplify them in 1-2-3 categories.
1. Upto late 1972. #2800206 and no KBA#. Black centers. As previously discussed by @tferrer about the depth difference to the other two types.
2. Upto late 1973. #2800206 KBA# 1110344. Black centers. (the ones I have for sale)
3. Late 1973 onwards. #2800206 KBA# 1110345 and BMW roundel. Grey center

These are the 73 date code wheels w the 5mm fin depth. The most common (if you can say that as they are quite rare) and correct set for a L or CSi/CS. I am familiar with these as I have a very similar 73 date coded set I just finished restoring and will be putting up for sale on Bat or Pcar market at some point....

When referring to the classic one piece 7x14, 20 spoke, 5 hole Alpina 1971-1975, there were a couple more variations to this 1-2-3 listing. Alpina at the beginning of the production run in 1971 obviously contemplated also other wheel styles.
