Previous pics show items the ad now says are gone (deceased owner had just started resto? pfft!) DAMN shame, just sourcing the removed parts (hood, nose beltline trim, headlights, ft bumper, grill,c-pillar emblems, taillights) and maybe replacing ft&back glass weatherstrips, door weatherstrips will have the buyer upside down in no time, I won't apologize if you think I am being a negative nancy but I'd betcha this georgia seller sold the partial partout bits for far less than you'll have to pay to replace them (maybe 3x the current bid!) Damn shame, doing a 2000C is a labor of love (and checkbook) for an underpowered "driver" at best, but without the fabled big payoff like with an E9

The previous owner sold it last month and is very much alive! It is a cs but with a 2 bbl. More uncommon '68 with headrests.

Wow... terribly misrepresented...bordering on the criminal. The rust under the hood (now hidden) would take a miracle to repair, not to mention the pics Bob posted above the tailights... ugghh. It's goner. You can bet the rockers are completely rotten.

Shame about the now-missing parts. It's quite difficult to source those grills, headlights, and that hood :( Great interior, and trunk pieces though.

As for the single downdraft... I'm betting the owner ditched the PHHs when they couldn't find anyone to work on them. Swapping a two barrel manifold and Weber 32/36 is a snap... but the linkage in the pics is a cobbled mess.

at $2750 it's already way too much money IMO

The distributor appears to be missing as well. And why would someone who was "preparing for vintage BMW racing" remove and discard the hood, headlights, taillights, etc?

I bought some of the parts from the previous owner earlier last year. Yeah a bunch of hidden rust now. Side panels look good and some pitting on chrome.

7300 for that? I don't saw "woo hoo"... who in all honesty could ?

you know if I had something and didn't want it, I'll admit I'd rejoice at the chance to ride a crazy flipper-driven market.
But if I enjoyed working on it, driving it, wouldn't "what's going on" really be moot? I mean there are more important things in the world, aren't there?
