E9 For Sale in Peapack NJ

I ran across this car for the first time while visiting Robb Francis' showroom yesterday: https://rfsportscars.com/1974-bmw-3.0-cs-c-343.htm. Not sure if anyone knows about it, but it seemed to be in quite good, restored condition. I am not involved with this sale in any way, but wanted to share in case anyone was interested.

But why would someone do a full resto and not do a bumper swap???
I’m a believer in keeping the stock air cleaner set up when swaping to dual Weber’s. It’s too easy and looks way better than the 2 oval air filters.
$99.5K is a bold asking price for big bumpers and a 4 speed.

Hard to believe Don let it out the door with those bumpers. And speakers on the rear shelf! But there they are.

Don or other shops do the work based on what the customer wants. Maybe this customer wanted to keep the car as close to original as possible?
There's a viewpoint among car collectors/investors that a 100% original car will eventually be worth the most. That's true with CSL's today, and maybe it'll be true with our much more common E9's in the future.
