Pretty rare for those to go bad. Have you tried borrowing a spare?

What symptom makes you think the ecu is bad?
one of the injectors is not working and thus runs on 5 cylinders. Garage cleaned the injectors and said it was the ECU that was defective.
Any idea what else it could be?

I don't know anyone with a spare. Here in Switzerland these cars are not very popular

If it is 1,2,3 or 4 they are likely wrong.

The e9 forum has a djet loaning library.

You pay shipping and we loan the part.

We have Ecu’s to loan out.

As fare as I know,
There are 3 cylinder are triggered together by the ECU ?

Check for broken wires from the ECU to injectors.

If not, maybe only a cold weld in the ECU.

@sfdon Already post the diagram.

The garage didn’t need to clean the injectors to say the computer is bad…

Every shop should have a Noid light tester.

I think 2 drivers and 4 connectors at ecu.
Very unusual.
Firing 2 banks of 3 but using single wires to 5 and 6.

Check this side

Cylinder 1, 3, 5 and 2, 4, 6 have each a commen driver.

So if the electronic will be bad, you have 3 valves not working.

The rest is wiring outside the ECU or
a conductor path , a connector or a bad weld in the ECU.

Good luck

SFDon’s lending library of Djet parts is a life-saver for CSI owners, as is, of course, his knowledge. Get to know him, he is an invaluable resource.
