I have a "new" AC system in my E3. @Blinkling evaporator, a Sanden style compressor, a big cross flow condenser, Trinary switch, all new hoses, dryer, all O ring connections, etc. It finally got warm enough here to give it a test the other day. It pumps out 35f air, but the compressor won't cycle on it's own. I can do it manually with the temp switch, but that's a pain.
I kept the working fan switch, but the original temp control switch was broken. I replaced it with one from Amazon when I couldn't find an OE one...
I believe this is the culprit.
When I search now, I find the usual suspects list them for sale...
My experience with these old parts is although they are listed, they never have any or can get any. The fact that WN lists them...
...gives me hope. that maybe they ARE available.
Has anybody bought one recently? If so, from whom? If not, is anybody using a good working generic substitute?
