The '71 2800A we have came with only the rear half of the driveshaft so I think I need to source a complete driveshaft to use in the five speed conversion. I'm guessing the driveshaft needs to come from an e9 so that the CSB will mount to the original tunnel supports. Or, are there other driveshafts that can be cut to work?

I bought a used drive shaft on Ebay and sent it to California to shorten by 3.75 in. They completely rebuilt the drive shaft and sent it back works like a charm with my 265.

Paul Cain gave them the dimensions, just be sure you have a standard guibo and an M5 guibo as the output flanges vary.
