I like these too - there were a couple of sale in South America recently. Did they ever sell them in the US originally?

yes, a few of them made it into the US. some old scca road rally friends of mine had one. they were cool cars for the period.

beautiful car !

nice and cool, resembles me of the 911, but IMHO more exclusive (less units produced, and thus less survivors)

i love it the problem might be to find spares, not truly a bmw, but a glas, that probably makes it more difficult

as little as 20 years ago BMW-istas pretty much sniffed at these little frua-ettes, I remember one languishing in Willow Glen on the corner of Lincoln and Coe for a good half-dozen years, it caught my eye but the local BMW guys all said "don't bother"...so I wound up with Michel Potheau's Tii (who knows HOW it wound up in San Jose) for like ... 600 bucks. Dems were the days
