The Webers on my stock '74 3.0cs are running poorly, backfiring when not under load. They are of Italian manufacture and have been rebuilt twice before but have spent much of their recent life in storage. I have been informed that buying new ones is comparable in price to the cost of rebuilding. Who has the best price on new ones? Thanks!

I think a good source is redline. You do have to watch out for where they are made. I believe knockoffs are available and temptingly inexpensive but tolerances are stretched.

You might even want to try Oversea Auto ( 1-604-879-6288 ) here in Vancouver, BC they are a weber distributer (sic ) and have some good prices Ask for Jim AND you would be paying in Canadian dollars these days 30% dollar difference

Thanks, Rick
