Arde......
Aren't you supposed to be at the shop today cleaning wheels?
You wouldn't like it here- it's hot and the beaches are covered with sand.

You only need two of those three wires, cut that plug off if you don't have the other end, test which two wires activate the lights, then send those two wires to the trans with a spade on each one. All it does is complete the circuit.

Testing the plug...

Green/black has 12+
Blue/white is direct to back up lights
Jumper together for testing
Send green/black to reverse switch
From switch to blue/white

4 hours later all cleaned up

I wish this crap of pulling pedal boxes and steering columns to install two simple pedals would stop. A huge waste of time and money. A 500 dollar mistake. I have been called in to fix three of these messes now.
GUYS - do NOT swap pedal boxes. It's one bolt and one nut. You swap the PEDALS.

FYI - no coupe used the late model Baveria clutch pedal with over under spring.
If you use the 9/73 and later pedal from a bav you need to cut a chunk of medal off the top at the back of the pedal.
Or not use the clutch- your choice

I modified my write up to reflect that the pedal box removal is optional. It gave me a chance to powder coat and pretty up a part of my car that I wouldn't touch unless I was going for a full restoration.

All I can say is you learn by doing....One of the reasons why I wrote my write up, this was not in Carl Nelson's paper.

99% of coupe owners do not have this tribal knowledge.
