Hoping for some help- probably really simple so here goes; 1974, auto to 5 speed convert. had a black and yellow coil with a resistor when originally purchased. Purchased a "blue" coil from La Jolla Ind. (read somewhere not to keep the resistor with the blue coil), then purchased the Petronix. Instructions say if you had a resistor to keep it, so... with a blue coil do I ditch the resistor since I think there is an internal resistor and just hook up the Petronix as if there never was an external resistor? I know lots of folks had made the conversion so any tips are welcome.
