The years have been interesting since I had started with the Bavaria a couple years ago. Honestly, sometimes I miss that car, and I think I will have another one day and it will probably be my last BMW. In the meantime, I have reached my 44th car, some boring, some garbage, some awesome, and everything in between. Here are a few of the highlights!

I really like how the photo with the Buick came out, buddy of mine had a vintage camera on him the day I bought it.

Most recently I got another E30 convertible that is practically identical to the other one I had, but that will be another post

As an old married guy. I really wish I experimented with more cars in college. At the time, I was in a long term relationship with my car. We hadn’t been together that long and my car was new and exciting at the time. Now I see all of these sexy cars on the road and only imagine myself inside them.

I plan on being that 80 year old guy that drives the cool cars. I already have the cool cars, so at my age now I might have them on the road by the time I'm 80.

Rob and Haseeb, did your local DMV require dealer tags? My checkered history reads quite differently. In chronological order.

1940 Ford Sedan, dropped in a souped up 54 Olds V8, LaSalle tranny on the floor.
1956 Chevy, 283 souped up V8. Lots of nights drag racing on the public highways.
A six month stint in the Army Reserves working for the NSA woke me up.
Back to college after being expelled three times for grades.
1962 VW Beetle with the sliding canvas roof. 0-60 was scary slow.
Another 62 Beetle for my first wife. She rolled it shortly before we parted ways. Painfully!
1964 Chevy Impala Two Door Hard Top. Turquoise, stunning for its day. Could not get the shimmy out of the front end. Sold for a
1971 BMW 1600 for a 12,000 road trip across Canada and home. Came within inches of buying an MGB TD but a colleague who was a Volvo guy suggested the BMW
1969 2800CS owned by a doctor's widow. True.
1974 3 liter Bavaria.
1974 euro BMW 3.0CS bought with insurance money after totaling the 2800.
1976 BMW 3.0Si. Plus two parts cars in there somewhere. Still want another Bavaria.
1973 CSi ran but sacrificed to turn the 74CS into a CSi. Took that to the track.
Currently, 1976 BMW 2002 original and cherry with 82k on the clock.

Scattered over the years, 5 Subarus, one Toyota wagon, one Chevy Cruze(don't ask), a 1987 Chrysler LeBaron with the Landau roof. Really, don't ask.

Dan, I am 80 and it has been a great ride that will continue until I run out fuel. No regrets, no remorse.

I've lost track, enjoyed many British cars, started with an Austin Mini Countryman, then '67 Mercury Cougar, Volvo P1800S, my Healey 3000 BJ8, and on and on. Had to move to a farm to have space. Realistically, it is time to "thin the herd". So I sold the Austin Healey 100-4 project. Still have the Airstream Overlander Land Yacht. Can convert that into anything, really. My 1972 E9 is such a great car, and I love my Big Healey. Working on my 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite, almost there, gonna be great! But some comfort knowing others have the same hoarding problems. We will get to all of them some day! ;)

Wow! I know car thieves with shorter list of cars they owned :).
As for me, I will borrow Leonard Cohen's Chelsea Hotel ending:

Dave, that 51 Wife is the most unique of all the cars on everybody’s list (yes, I read each piece of everybody’s list and envisioned each car in my head-some ugly visions). Mostly thanks to Steve’s citation, fondly referred to as Roach.
My list is long. I’ll touch on some goofy highlights

62 factory Fleetwood limo
64 Corvair convertible
1964 Mooney M20e, still around
1970 Chevy impala convertible (first car)
Poop brown 911 targa
Yugo-fondly called the Yucko
7 different fiat spiders
78 924 automatic- wrong in so many ways
79 rabbit convertible with all the goodies
B7 turbo coupe
E9s x3 ( two still around)
E24/28 m6 and m5, still around
2015 msquared breeze float plane, still around

Needles to say, I have directional and focus issues

I am floored by how many wonderful, cool, and crappy cars you guys have all had, seriously! I often think that life is too short to drive boring cars, but that's the complete opposite of how I feel when I am stranded on side of the road with a some cylinders firin', oil leakin', coolant steamin', good for nothing jalopy.

I think after this E30 I am gonna go to something American again. The vehicle I miss the most hands down is my 68 Mustang so something 50s/60s.

I can't remember if I shared this, but this is a cool little movie I made with it like 2 years ago. Like a minute long if anyone wants to see it (-:

CSteve: Rob and Haseeb, did your local DMV require dealer tags?
I believe they would have, I think the limit here is 6 cars per year per person, I have largely just finessed by titling cars with my parents/friends hehe ;)

First car was a 67 Biscayne my Brother gave me. First car I bought was a 71' 240-Z. Most pumped I ever was after buying a car was my 1st of three 1992 Corrado VR6's that was a Pfaff endurance racer driven by Richard Spenard (Villeneuve's driving coach)
Car I really enjoyed but thought I would despise was a 1974 Valiant 4 door with a slant 6.
Car that was the most Mint of any car I have bought was a 1966 Corvair owned by an older couple. I was the one who let it degrade.
Car that made me feel I had won the Lottery with how it ticked every box. 1998 BMW M3 Sedan 5 speed.
Car I wanted since I was 14 ....BMW E9
Car that has given me the best service of any in my life....Current 2007 Forester XT Beater. 323,000 KM, heading to 400K. current daily
Only new car I have bought and shortest time I have ever owned a car. 2021 Subaru Legacy XT. So glad it is gone after 250 KM!
Car I am going to sell next Month on BAT. 1999 Miata 10AE.
Car I have been dreaming about buying all Winter 2010 Porsche Cayman S manual.

Car I bought today instead of the Porsche. A slightly used 2022 Subaru BRZ with 1,180 miles
Tech package with a manual!! Very pumped about this car. Hard to get, value priced. Light, nice seats. My gut feeling is this will be better than a Porsche for the way I live. Not too precious. Will get winter tires, should be a Hoot. Bit of a CSL motif, as it has aluminum roof, hood and fenders. 228 HP, 2,815 pounds
