84 E28 - What do you think?

I've been toying with the idea of buying this car here in Anchorage. Surprising little rust - I've been surprised about that after moving here. The thing that has me most worried is that the shifting gets stiff in 1-2nd once it's warmed up, and you have to double clutch :-( Sounds like worn syncros. Do these have a Getrag 265?

It would have a 260 in 84 and in 85 was back to 265 and in 86 they went back to the 260.

Thanks Chris. How hard would it be to send the trans out for rebuild? It's a $5K car - but worth saving.
