maybe he forgot the decimal ... 180.00. 1800 would be a new high watermark for gauges that haven't been reconditioned ... by a long shot. if they were truly worth that much, i have 2 sets i would sell quickly.

i bought two sets a few years ago for 200 to 250 bucks for the set of 4 ... they all work. so today, no more than 300 to 350 bucks for the set, unless they have been cleaned and worked through by a specialist ... and that will cost 800 bucks +/-.

My thoughts as well. You can find them regularly for 250 €. Most of the opportunistic US eBay stuff is $800 - $900 with timber.
