I would guess the Bavaria owner's manual might be original with the car. There were probably not enough US 3.0s's made and imported in 73 to justify their own manual.

Looks like a nice project car. It needs to be totally dismounted but it is complete.

I was amazed with the electric window's switches topology and location.

Especially the group of four:

Looks OE original but it is the first time I have seen such solution.

Looked at it last year when it previous owner had it. Slick top, looked like a decent project car:
Hood: rusted through at front through both layers of metal.
Driver front fender: rusty at bottom corner.
Doors: rusty corners at bottoms.
Dash: decent dash only i think 2 or 3 cracks.
Engine: everything there and starts ignition key works.
Center bearing: previous owner mentioned it knocks i just drove in parking lot.
Has holes rear hat tray for rear headrests
Windshield: has a crack.
5 spokes look nice old tires though over 10 years old.
Nevada license plates.

I've only recently learned about the Bavaria with luxury package (Sonderausstattung Bavaria Luxus). Probably quite rare, they got the 3 litre trim and script as well as wood veneer on the doorpanels. For the series 2 they were not a separate model. I'd like to know more about this version we don't know in Germany. The sales receipt is interesting as it shows the VIN but I am in doubt about the third digit. It could be a 3 (Bavaria A) or a 5 (3.0 S A). I'd be thankful to know what you read there. Anyway, great find.
The affluent twin of my lowly Bavaria (aka the poor man's 3.0s. ;) ).
Looking at the shape of both, there cannot be a doubt which one to choose.

These are correct for early cars. The series 3 had a different version. Four switches at the driver's door were common on all E3. The colour of the doorpanels might give a restorer a hard time. It only matches the "Beige" leather but not the "Beige" cloth or vinyl nor the earlier "Natur" leather.
