Hi Group
Gary has decided to sell his 1972 3.0 CS Automatic. Which is located in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
This car is solid but does need some work.
At this point Gary is looking for offers.
I have some photos on my computer that I will attach once I have down sized them.
If you have an interest in this car PM me and include your phone number so that Gary can get back to you.
I can take additional photos if that would help someone.

That's great- you hint at the price you want and we will hint at what we will pay....

Sorry- this one of my pet peeves....

Its good practice (and saves everyone a lot of time) to list the following in your ad:

1) Location
2) Price
3) Detailed description (the more info you post the fewer questions you'll get, over and over...)
4) Photos if you have them

Don,
It actually is more fun to see how much we can glean without having that information.
For Gary's car my crystal ball says:
Ohio car parked outdoors but not for that long, not registered, probably engine starts but does not run, maybe the automatic tranny quit. Hood alignment issues, wood and and leather suffered in interior, body is solid with some rust point problems in places close to the ground. Body and engine numbers match. Radio not period correct. Floor mats from a different car. Missing some plastic trim for handles on doors. At least one electric window is stuck. At least one owner loved this car, and at least another one did not. Original color Polaris. Assembled in West Germany circa Feb 1972. About 4 tools left in the toolbox, one of them is extraneous. Missing Stan's emergency manual window gadget.

How's that?

Lol- we can all enjoy playing dentist where we extract bits of info and more pics.
I intend to have my guy Terry contact Tom so that he can relay my info to Gary who will then tell me that my offer is too low. Does that make this a Chinese fire drill auction?

Well, I can take a wild stab at price.
If the car is drivable it is a $7000 car, if it is not drivable it is a $4000 car.
No offer implied, my guess is based on ignorance and little else.

If the car has a story, add $2k.

I was just up in Yellow Springs last week. Is this the car that was on a trailer behind the Corner Cone downtown?

Cheers

Will be happy to replace a keyboard. As for the Dr. Pepper I am afraid my insurance only covers family members. Unless you want to marry me you will have to cover your own doctor.

BTW, was I right on the guesses?

It just breaks my heart to see these cars in such disreputable shape :-(

Parts car? Does it run? What is the extent of the rust? (Notice I didn't ask "is there rust?" )

I'll take the clutch fan and deQuincy will probably shout out for the A/C stuff if it gets parted out.
