1974 2002tii bought at Copart

Car was purchased from Copart through my work. It looked pretty sad but I mentioned to a coworker that it may sell for up to $2k since this market has gone so crazy. When I got back from lunch the car was on our pending list. Car showed up today...

Pulled the valve cover off to see a very clean cam and rockers. Engine turns over by hand but the starter is stuck so I stopped there for today. Oh yeah, the electric fuel pump works!

And I was pleasantly surprised to find that this photo shows a rusty left rear shock tower but when I looked closely at it today, all the rust you see is what has fallen from the rusty window frame above. The shock tower is very solid and only has a few stops where the coating is peeling off.

What are you plans for it? Restore? Use the tii drivetrain in a more solid shell?

Not sure. I haven't bought it yet, already have a huge project list, but i may sell my old GMC truck and buy this thing. We'll see...
