I went and looked at this coupe near my house and thought I'd post some photos I took with my phone (better than nothing I guess).
This is the same car that I saw last year sitting in a muddy field with some miniature donkeys protecting it! At the time it was very dirty inside and out and sitting in mud so I couldn't look underneath it. Its now being sold by a friend of the owner and he has cleaned it up quite a bit.
Mechanically... its been sitting for about 12 years, ran when it was parked but I don't think its run since. Parked outside sometimes and inside a barn sometimes, everything seems to be complete and stock.
Chassis... it has the usual rust issues although I wouldn't classify this car as a parts car now that I've seen it cleaned up and could get underneath. Upper fenders showing some rust in the seams but inside the wheel wells and lower fenders looked ok. Rockers looked iffy, floorboards looked pretty decent, shock towers ok, spare tire well has a whole in it and the rim around the truck has issues. Could always be better but could be a lot worse. Of course there's usually some hidden surprises with chassis in this condition.
Interior... needs complete restoration but complete. Blue leather.
Exterior... Baikal Blu is the original color but has been repainted Polaris. Doesn't really matter because the paint is completely shot. Baikal is a good original color in my book.
I tried to convince him to get it running or at least try to make it fire, but I'm not sure if he will or not. He's selling for a friend and the owner is stuck on $5k for a price and doesn't want to go lower. I don't think the car is worth that in its current condition, but if it runs and runs and drives it might worth close to that. I don't have a lot of time but can manage to stop by if anyone wants any additional info. The guy selling the car is a good guy and he knows cars well enough to talk shop. Not sure how much bs he'll put up with though. ;-)
