I've got a hole in my 1973 stock muffler (final, longitudinal piece) that I've patched twice now. I'm sure it's not going to last to the winter.
The rest of the exhaust system seems to be fine, but before I spend $1000+ on a new exhaust, I'm throwing this out there to see if anyone has some exhaust components they want to unload.

Thanks in advance.

That muffler is better bought new.

You want the one in my bin today you will pay 100.00 shipping and 50.00 to get boxed and taken to FedEx. Why bother- new is better at Walloth and price is good.

Walloth wants $435 shipped. I can see paying that for brand new muffler, but the great unknown is how long will the forward components of my existing system last?

Am I better off getting a complete SS system from Fitz Bitz, rolling the dice with an older unit (yours) for cheap or getting a brand new rear silencer.
Hopefully I can get it on a lift this weekend and poke around and get a clearer picture.

Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know what transpires.

Hello, I have this piece and will not be needed it. It's brand new old stock. It is just upstream of the final muffler. It's so old that it is labeled made in West Germany. I don't know what it's worth. I'm in the Bay Area. Thanks, Ed

Ed, thank you very much for this very generous offer. I'm sorry it took awhile to get back to you. I really didn't get a chance for a good look at my exhaust system til yesterday, hence my delay.
I'm going to decline your very nice offer as I'm going with a stainless steel option.

Thanks again for your offer and please accept apologies for my tardiness.

Not a problem at all, I know how it goes. For me the honey do's that get in the way. Take care, Ed
