Window motor saga continues

Finally installed window motor, and as expected, things didn't work out so well.

Window opens and closes well enough, but it makes ALOT of noise in the process, kind of a grinding noise.

My first instinct tells me that the window motor gears and the window regulator gears are not compatible.
So, if that is the case, would the windows still function (but with a ton of noise?

( I installed a rear window motor from an E28, which I was told was compatible with my 1973 CS, (but has the red circuit breaker buttons))

This is getting aggravating.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Are you doing the installation for the front windows or rear?
The e28 motor must have only 8 teeths to work.
Do you have any pictures of your work?

Front passenger window.

Yes, the motor has 8 teeth.

I don't have any current pictures, as I thought a video (with audio) would be much more useful.
Embedding a video is not quite as easy as a photo.

I'll double check the lengths of the bolts.

Thanks so much.
