I'm there and quite tired. Saturday probably still there. And tired.

BMW Clubs booth again in Hall 6. This year more than double the size of 2023. BMW Archive people attending, very friendly and helpful as usual. Brought a V16 prototype from about 1990. Not a pretty car but very impressive.

Severals Swedes were/are around. Met two Dutchmen today. They intend to come again on Saturday.

A big THANKS to the German club for welcoming me so warmly.
On display an amazing csl and an very well kept 2800cs

I got a small impression of the e9's on display, in various locations.
(I may have missed some, as is too big to walk in a day, and still have 2hrs to chat and learn. )

My my what a show : would there be, in total, about a billion euro's of cars for sale there?

Curious about your experience of travel to the show and your stay in the area. Easy to get there and get around? How far in advance did you book a hotel, assuming you're staying for more than one day?

As I live just across the border in the Netherlands, it's just an hour by car, straight into a parking lot, and then a 5 minute walk into the Exhibition hall.

It's Germany, everything is well arranged.

There is even public transport with bus and train options.

I don't need a hotel, but there are a few decent Hotels within half a mile. That's walking distance if you can still manage after a full day of strolling around on the fair.

And a very nice 3.3 L Automatic. If you had dared to come over to the E3 Club you would have been equally welcome. Missed chance to meet. I can even see myself in the picture of the CSL so I'd have been there to talk to, easily recognisable because E3 Club people wear nametags. Very uncommon, by the way, to get photographed. Usually everybody misses me.

All is good. We'll do better next time. Let's hope the Sharknose Meeting gets revived or the BMW Klassiek Club NL comes up with something.

You are right, the E3 is a rare beast. There seem to be so many E9 and 02 and E30 and... in the Netherlands and so few E3. More or less the same in Germany.
