Taiga CSL at bonhams auction in a few days. Estimate seems pretty low for a CSL? Looks to be in well worn condition.
Could be cheap entry to a CSL you can drive the hell out of!

Looks like somebody adjusted the bleed screw with a can opener.. Looks like good bones (writing from Australia) but see lots of little things not quite right.

Like some pissed off wrench decided to make up a perverse game with all the hoses.
Bizarre stuff going on there in the engine bay.

Who ever changes the thermostat and water pump might have a bad day coming.

That‘s strictly a time and materials job.

Reckon you are right. I see lots of brittle looking hoses on brake servos and suspect fuel lines would be same. Don't like knocking cars and there's a lot here that seems ok but will need a proper sorting.

Looks like a pretty honest little car though. Lots of this and that needs attention. Nothing beyond horrid.

Weird it says recent service performed in 2021, yet the tstat housing area looks untouched for a decade plus.

Disappointing to see the bottom of the barrel upkeep on a rare and special car.
Literally every inch inch in the engine bay is just plain wrong.
Fuel filter in wrong plain place, copper exhaust nuts on the intake, and on and on.
As Wes says- no need to bash it but there is going to be some series sorting ahead.

and glad my cars don’t go where this one went….

And- if this were a vintage Porsche, the internet would be screaming…..

Then again, if it would sell for the middle of the estimate, then there is plenty of nice things to do.
Body looks ok-isch, but without some underside shots it hard to be sure.

I wouldn't be afraid to start with it if it was lhd.

I think it’s a case of mistaken VIN swap with 2285180. Both cars were photographed at the same show. The Tiaga car is 469 (VIN plate) so the Polaris most likely is 180

I believe I have this same air dam, it is Aluminum. I sourced it from England many moons ago. Been informed it is a very rare Schnitzer product from back in the day. I have only seen them in period pics (original Sean Connery car, tennis star Natassi's CSL and a white and blue 'modified' RHD E9 (its authenticity/history is unknown to me) pic found on the Net years ago.

It likely has been whacked by a road/suspension compression. but I have learned they can be 'reshaped'. Don't ask how I learned...

Also interesting about this car is that the CSL stripes are 'green'....

I used to put a music CD I did not like around the hole in the tool kit to keep it closed. They cracked every 3 months or so and then I put a different CD.

If you want longer try a vinyl. They are called Long Play for a reason.
