Keep in mind that the nut on one end of the pitman arm is torqued to about 100lbs and the other end is a very tough joint to remove. That joint is on the center link and is the one joint that is NOT a ball joint. You really don't want damage it as then you have to redo the idler arm and both tie rods...
Good idea if your new box has a pitman arm attached is to remove the big nut while the old box is still installed- use a gearpuller on the arm and you don't have to take a chance damaging the centerlink. You will see 3 alignment marks on the arm and one on the shaft
New box and old everything else is the way to go
