To look at tail-pipe ends to see if I could find one that I liked from a newer BMW that would be easier to obtain and would look good on my e9. This is what I ended up buying :)

My dealer parts guy has that poster on the wall over his computer monitor. Says it gives him inspiration. He's as old as I am.

funny,..

Steve- they had no freggin' idea- they were too busy serving cappuccino's, the dealership is like an amusement park. I felt very uncomfortable, it was actually my 13 yr. old daughter who helped me put the condenser and fan in my car who saw it hanging on the rack; Look daddy- isn't that your car?

That's a great pic, +1 on Shannon's idea. I had a pic of my daughter helping me rebuild my triple webers but I can't find it

My daughter, Leslie, will inherit my coupe. We call her "car girl" and she lives up to her name.

That's the best girly-car picture I've seen all year

Really hits home.

My girls are already fighting over my old cars, and in a handful of years they'll be learning to drive them (crash box 1st, manual choke, and all that).

there is something about

Cars and girls; Alan, your coupe is beautiful but seriously out-shined by your little girl. True beauty is timeless!

I've got 4 boys. My brother used to (affectionately) call them little goats cause he had 2 cute girls of his own. When they hit their late teens, he changed his tune.

Cute girl + coupe= BIG trouble for dad. Best to start with Prius.

ha, cute girl + coupe = trouble. thats funny, and true im sure.

one of the advantages of having children late (was 50 when gracie was born - my first and only), is that i hope to be senile by the time she is dating, so wont know whats going on anyway :-D

Here's some pictures of my girls through the years with my cars. Now they are almost 13 and almost 15, the next few years should be interesting...

Sorry for the quality of the pictures.
