Looking for some seat belt advice for my restoration project. My car has what I presume to be standard lap belts in the rear, Also, as I am changing the interior from black cloth to cream leather, I would like to change the belt colour. Can anyone point to another car model that has a 3 point system front and rear that will transfer easily to an E9?

Ian.

It depend - where you want to hide belts roll (for front).
If you want to hide them in rear seats (L & R) armrests - then you should look for retrectable belts, that are not locking in horizontal position, as they are mounting horizontally. Most of BMW (not E9) later automatic belts are locking in horizontal position, because they have vertical mount.
Genuine later E9 models have Autoflug seatbelts (pretty rare). If it help you i can make some measures and take some photos of mine Autoflug belts (not for sale).

here you have bert35csi project
