Don,

i have been thinking of using the m5 guibo ... 26117511454 ... its 115.34 from getbmwparts. meyle iss $55 from ecs ... febi from rmeuropean 46.67
the 3.0cs part (listed on realoem - 26111107832 is $139.28 from getbmwparts

looking up the part number you listed says it has been superceded -both of these use 10mm bolts ... the 832 part above uses 12mm bolts
26111109714 - its 118.48 from getbmwparts - this is the 2800 csa guibo
26111100837 is 238.51 from getbmwparts - this is a 2800cs only part

I used the M5 guibo on a 4 speed E9 and it fit perfectly.

As far as I know, the non-M E28 guibo is the same but thinner (and half the price of the M one). You could probably use that one with some spacers if you feel like getting into it. But the M one is a good value already.

i think the issue is that they are running out of guibos for 10mm bolts ... which is another difference of the 2800cs from the 3.0cs.

Oh good. I don't have enough parts stockpiled; now I can indulge in my desire to fill my entire garage with parts.
