Wow… that’s terrible. Now that’s something that just doesn’t disappear into the night though. Unless they send it overseas.

Beautiful car. Damn I hope it is recovered and not exported to a place where a criminal enjoys it with impunity.

Bummer, hope the cars were insured.
I assume the car is your build Don, right?

was the other car also a classic?

Things to watch:
- For sale ad for a 3.5CS model, which does not exist
- Car coming for service back to Don
- 70s BMW arrival at the Paraguay triple border crime and car smuggling area

I’m going to add air tags to a lot of stuff on your suggestion Don. I’ve had two cars stolen so far and right now in Toronto car theft is up 300% with 12,000 stolen this year. These are most often pick up trucks and Lexus SUV’s. One out of ten Lexus 350s have been stolen locally and usually end up in shipping containers then sold overseas, many with the plates still on. Losing a classic however hits you much harder.

Or consider a GPS tracker, which won't alert a thief's phone that an AirTag is following them.

For instance, this one is $5/month, but also geofenced, which means it can alert your phone if goes outside a certain area (like your driveway), which would in theory give you more time to react, follow, inform authorities.

From what I read all trackers are imperfect. The AirTag is easily detected and requires Bluetooth iPhones nearby.
Perhaps this is my new project? A tracker that is fully passive until remotely activated and sporting an international SIM card.
Who is IN for a purchase?

Hi guys
I hope that the e9 is found and hopefully returned.
It must be the owners worst nightmare
