I have small area that was effected by a wing window leak that caused some discoloration and delamination. 95% of the trim is OK. I was thinking of addressing the delamination, applying a complementary stain color and hitting all the trim with a lite coat of satin. I really don't want to pull dash and do the whole thing.

Does anyone have an idea about a glue for the delamination that won't affect my ability to stain later? Any other ideas?

Thanks

Small wood repair

John,

Post a picture.

If just the veneer is loose or the plywood base needs repair a simple clear epoxy has worked for me. Gorilla Glue in clear, the two part devcon clear in a syringe works well, but most hobby type shops now have super glues with a spray activator.

Stains, etc. walnut from the depot is what I used for originality. I used wiping clears for furniture, which are very thin topcoats like for refinishing antiques. Takes more coats, but you can control it.

Hope this helps.:)
